Kitchen Interiors: 4 Hot Tech Trends For Bath And Kitchen

Interior Designer Tells Us What's New In The World Of Kitchens And Bathrooms.

Forget about keeping up with the neighbors, such rapid innovation happening in the kitchen and bath technology, we are almost surpassing the Jetsons. In this new world of sintered particles and controls wireless light is easy to feel out of the loop, so we caught up with founder's design to get the scoop on where technology is going in 2015. Thanks to him,’re washing away any uncertainty about technological trends away ... using our new touch-less faucet brand, of course.

State of the Art Gets style

Praised for its warm, West Coast aesthetic, which uses reclaimed wood and varied textures, Banfield's work does not fit immediately with the stereotypical image of cold high-tech design function first. But these days, manufacturers ensure that high-tech options are as elegant as useful. Take Moxie Kohler shower, Banfield has in his own bathroom. With its integrated wireless speaker, you may expect the Moxie look bulky, but as Banfield says, "Is not seen as a speaker, it looks like a shower, and looks very smart." In fact, the Moxie comes in a lot of "bold fashion colors" -from chartreuse cherry red. Similarly, Moen offers hands-free faucets in styles that will please traditionalists and modernists alike: finishes ranging from smooth oiled bronze and polished chrome.

It is the day spa every day

"We are seeing a push for more spa-style bathrooms bigger," says Banfield. "We can make it more of an experience than just a place for washing, brushing teeth, and leave." Thinking of adding a little luxury to your life? Install Nuheat mats under tile shower, then store to heat just in time for your morning routine. At the top, lights Hue Philips can help you create the perfect environment for some R and R: a single bulb provides light in all colors of the spectrum. Forgiving? Claro. But Banfield says: "There are positive making that spa-like atmosphere for people who deal with health problems, whether mental or physical."

Hold The Phone

Forget the remotes. When it comes to the newest technology, the smartphone is all you need. "The technology application is doing many gadgets as customizable" Banfield said. Philips Lighting Hue, for example, can be programmed to color in a photo that you upload to your phone. If you like entertainment, check out the range of LG Smart Thinq. You can adjust the oven temperature through your phone, meaning you never have to leave their half of the conversation back dinner guests.

Timeless Technology

A perceived problem with technology-ing out your kitchen or bathroom, it may seem a more unequal something new investment is always just around the corner. But many of the high-tech options today are becoming fewer and timeless fashion. Case in point: brand Dekton Cosentino countertops. Technology-sintered particles that mimics natural metamorphic changes-results in a super slim stone countertop is nonporous, even unsealed. Banfield are installing the first of its kind in gorgeous colors BC-but given Dekton and unique advantages, we feel it will be more of these facilities in the future.
